Sharron Davies one of Great Britain`s best swimmers to date having won two Commonwealth Games gold medals plus an Olympic Silver. A legend of British Swimming and Super Schools.
Sharron`s career begun like most top sport stars at the young age of six, at the age of eight she was taking training seriously. Her early dedication and obvious talent was rewarded by becoming the youngest ever athlete to swim at a national level.
In 1976 a few months before her fourteenth birthday Sharron was selected to represent Britain at the Montreal Olympics, although she did not medal at these Olympics the experience proved to be invaluable in getting her recognition across the world. The following year saw her win two bronze medals at the European championships. Her success continued still only sixteen at the Commonwealth games winning two gold medals at 200 and 400 meters.
Sharron a former successful swimmer for the United Kingdom, having won two gold medals at the Commonwealth Games and silver at the Swimming at the 1980 Summer Olympics 1980 Olympics in Moscow, Sharron has built a successful second career as television presenter and patron for charities for disabled children and fitness.
At the age of 18 Sharron decided to focus on another part of her life which interested her, that was television and modelling. However in 1989 Sharron made a come back to the pool picking up an impressive two medals at the 1990 Commonwealth Games.
In 1994 Sharron called time on competing and concentrated on her career away from the pool, her outstanding career consisted of twenty British titles, and had broken two hundred British Swimming records winning medals at all major Swimming events.
Sharron is a now familiar sight on our TV screens presenting and commentating on all major sporting events around the World.
