Established in 1979 by Brian and Diana Hubbard of Yeovil, Super Schools events have become increasingly popular with thousands of schools throughout England. Not just for the efficient and educational way of raising money quickly, but also for the professionalism of the Super Schools team in establishing rapport with the children and ensuring the smooth running of the event without encroaching on teachers' valuable time.
Brian and Diana's dream of Super Schools was created to help motivate and encourage children to take up sport and to create a better style of life and health. With the special help of Olympic and World Champion athletes, Super Schools has grown into one of the most unique fundraising oppotunities for schools around the UK. Now with the introduction into Wales, city and rural schools have the oppotunity to have an Olympic athlete come and visit.
We are highly excited to be brining the Super Schools experience into Wales and looking forward to bringing all the benefits that Super Schools has to offer with it, fundraising, meeting sporting stars and addressing the importance of healthy living within our local and communities.
Olympic medalists who have been involved in Super Schools over 3 decades include Daly Thompson, John Regis, Dame Kelly Holmes,Darren Campbell,Kriss Akabusi,Todd Bennett,Dean Macey,Katherine Merry, Du`ane Ladejo,Sharon Davies and Jamie Baulch who is now along with Matthew Hughes and James Loder taking Super Schools into the future.
